Diamond Solitaire Band Ring in 18ct Recycled Yellow Gold – One of a Kind

An 18ct recycled yellow gold one-of-a-kind diamond ring, hand carved in wax and cast in Tamara Gervasio’s Italian studio using the traditional lost wax technique. This is a single available piece in size J — centred on a 0.40ct brilliant-cut diamond set in 18ct white gold prongs, designed to lift the stone above a richly textured gold surface and allow light to pass through it from every angle.

The diamond is clean and precise, but the surrounding structure is deliberately non-uniform. The band was carved entirely by hand in wax, building a surface that feels tactile and irregular in the most controlled way — marks left intentionally to create depth, movement, and visual tension. This texture is contrasted with refined polished edges, creating a duality between raw surface and architectural finish.

The result is not a traditional solitaire, but a continuous band where the diamond appears embedded within a lived surface rather than placed on top of it. At 4.55 mm wide and 3.8 g in weight, the ring has a balanced physical presence — substantial, but refined enough for daily wear.

Stamped 750 and marked with TG maker’s mark, the piece is fully certified 18ct Italian gold and part of the Ancient Relics Collection.

“I wanted to make a diamond ring that didn’t look like a diamond ring. Not a solitaire on a plain shank, not something you’ve seen before. The texture came first — carved by hand in wax until the surface felt alive. Then the diamond. Set in white gold so it floats, so it catches the light without competing with the gold beneath it.”
