Lapis Lazuli & Sterling Silver Starfish Necklace – Last One Available – This Version Will Not Be Repeated

A handmade lapis lazuli necklace combining deep celestial blue stone with sterling silver 925 starfish elements, individually assembled in my Cornwall studio using traditional jewellery techniques. This is the final lapis version available — the specific silver starfish components used in this design are no longer obtainable, meaning this exact composition will never be recreated.

The necklace is hand-knotted on silk thread using traditional knotting techniques that allow the 8 mm lapis beads to move with fluidity while protecting each stone and creating a considered, articulated drape. Between the beads, sterling silver starfish elements are placed like small marine finds, introducing a rhythmic contrast against the depth of the stone.

Lapis lazuli is one of the most historically significant gemstones, valued since antiquity for its intense ultramarine colour and associations with clarity, protection, and insight. Here, its presence is uninterrupted and grounded, allowing the natural variation of each bead to define the character of the piece.
