One-of-a-Kind 18ct Gold Plated Silver Cherub & Multi-Gemstone Necklace
A one-of-a-kind sculptural necklace combining natural gemstones with a hand-carved cherub, individually designed and handcrafted by Tamara Gervasio.
At the heart of the necklace is a lyre-playing cherub, originally carved entirely by hand from wax using the traditional lost-wax technique, then cast in 925 sterling silver and finished with 18ct yellow gold flash plating.
The cherub is surrounded by an organic arrangement of garnet, peridot, iolite and natural quartz gemstone beads, creating a rich combination of deep burgundy, fresh green, blue-grey and luminous translucent tones. The irregular cuts and natural variations of the stones give the necklace texture and movement while contrasting beautifully with the warm gold finish of the cherub.
Measuring approximately 42 cm, the necklace sits elegantly around the neckline and is designed to be worn as a distinctive statement piece, either alone or layered with other jewellery.
Each Tg-Jewellery design celebrates traditional craftsmanship, sculptural form and individuality. The original cherub was created by hand without CAD or 3D modelling.
