After searching all over my local area for a jeweller to help me re-create a ring I had made for my partner out of silver clay, and finding no one, I researched specialists in lost wax carving and found Tamara. I reached out to her about the project and she was extremely helpful and receptive from the start. I booked a one on one lost wax carving session and bought the broken ring with me. Tamara is a great and engaging teacher who is clearly very skilled at her craft, but is also just a lovely person. She is very friendly and made me feel welcome in her workshop. I admittedly was attempting a slightly complicated and emotionally high stakes project for my first attempt at an entirely new technique, and started to panic part way through, worrying that I wouldn't be able to properly remake an important and sentimental gift. Tamara saw me getting flustered and helped me to calm down and practice some other less stressful techniques while she refined my work. She put a lot of effort and care into making my ring as close the the original as possible, and it turned out beautiful after casting and clean up. I am very grateful to her for helping me make a stronger ring that will withstand daily wear but still retains the original design and sentiment. I hope to go back for more workshops and learn some more jewellery making skills from her in the future. Her own designs are super cool and impressive, with crazy levels of detail, and are all made by hand with no 3D modelling or CAD as is becoming common in jewellery design. If you want to commission or have a hand in making your own unique jewellery, I couldn't recommend Tamara Gervasio enough.

I did several wax carving lessons with Tamara and they were absolutely fantastic! Tamara is so skilled and knowledgeable that any project I brought to her, for her to guide me with, was no problem at all. Tamara’s company is absolutely fantastic too, I had so much fun learning with her and I’ll be back for more lessons later this year to learn more things. Tamara is a brilliant teacher. She is highly skilled and knowledgeable in lost wax carving techniques. She is so friendly and welcoming. I’m a professional jeweller and was intrigued to learn the lost wax technique. Tamara had tailored a few sessions to suit my level which were great fun and fascinating.

I can highly recommend Tamara's one to one classes! As I brought a rather challenging project for a first real foray into the world of wax carving, I will need to go back again to finish the project, and I can't wait!
