WORKSHOP CLASSES

Learn the Art of Jewellery Making in My Cornwall Studio
Step inside my working jewellery studio in Cornwall and experience the process behind hand-carved jewellery.
These workshops are led personally by me — an award-winning jewellery designer with over 30 years of experience in wax carving and sculptural jewellery.
Whether you are completely new or already working creatively, this is a space to explore making with real tools, real materials, and guided creative support.
Small groups ensure personal attention throughout.
The Ancient Technique Behind My Work
Lost wax carving is the technique behind every piece I create — a method used for centuries to form jewellery in wax before it becomes metal.
In this hands-on atelier experience, you will be guided through the full creative process:
- Learn the fundamentals of wax carving
- Design and sculpt your own wax piece (ring, pendant, earring or small sculpture)
- Understand how wax becomes precious metal through casting
- Complete a finished wax model ready for casting
No experience is needed — you will be guided throughout.

- Create one or more finished pieces to wear home that same day.
Suitable for all skill levels – including complete beginners.

Casting Clean up and polishing
Casting Clean-Up & Polishing
You' ve cast your piece – now what? This workshop teaches you the finishing skills that separate amateur work from professional jewellery.
In this hands-on class, you'll learn:
- Clean-up: removing sprue marks, excess metal, and surface imperfections using files and sandpaper
- Shaping: Refining edges and surfaces to achieve a smooth, flawless finish
- Polishing: Using polishing wheels, buffs, and compounds to bring out a high-quality, mirror-like lustre
Bring your own cast pieces to work on, or I can provide practice pieces.
best suited for: Students who have completed a lost wax carving course or have their own castings to finish.
