Sea Slug Bangle – Handmade Sterling Silver 925 with Freshwater Pearl
A sterling silver bangle hand carved in wax and cast using the traditional lost wax technique. Part of a study in organic marine forms, the Sea Slug Bangle takes inspiration from underwater movement, asymmetry, and natural surface texture — translating them into a wearable object with presence and subtle detail.
Each bangle is individually finished by hand in my Cornwall studio, making every piece slightly unique in its surface and flow. A single 4.5 mm freshwater pearl is set into the design, sitting like a natural inclusion within the silver — a soft point of light against the textured metal.
The combination of polished and oxidised finishes brings contrast to the surface, allowing light to shift across the form while revealing the depth of the carved detail. Designed to feel substantial yet comfortable, it sits naturally on the wrist and becomes more familiar the longer it is worn.

Maker’s Note
"This piece is about underwater movement — the way forms shift, expand, and settle without symmetry. I wanted it to feel alive in the hand, like something discovered rather than designed."
