Sea Slug Necklace – Sterling Silver 925, 18ct Yellow Gold & Freshwater Pearls – This Version Will Not Be Repeated
THIS VERSION WILL NOT BE REPEATED
A sculptural necklace hand carved in wax and cast using the traditional lost wax technique. The design explores the relationship between organic marine forms and precious metal — balancing high-polished sterling silver with 18ct yellow gold details and the softness of natural freshwater pearls within a single continuous composition.
The silver surface is highly polished, creating a reflective, fluid quality that contrasts with the irregular carved structure beneath it. 18ct yellow gold elements are integrated into the form as points of warmth and interruption, while freshwater pearls sit within the composition like natural formations — soft luminous counterpoints that shift as the piece moves.
Designed as wearable sculpture, the necklace carries visual weight while remaining fluid in wear, sitting at the collarbone with presence, clarity, and ease.

Concept
A study in contrast and marine formation — where polished silver, warm gold, and natural pearl exist within a single organic language. The Sea Slug Collection translates underwater movement into form, exploring asymmetry, surface tension, and the quiet logic of natural growth.
Each element is placed through making rather than repetition, resulting in a composition that cannot be reconstructed in the same way again.

Maker’s Note
"This necklace is the most ambitious piece I have made to date. It began as a study in contrast — polished silver against warm gold, structure against softness, weight against light. It took weeks to complete. The combination of materials in this exact form will not be repeated — it exists as a finished object, made once, in my London studio."
