Sea Slug Ring – Sterling Silver 925 with Gemstones & Cubic Zirconia – Each Piece Unique

A sculptural sterling silver ring hand carved in wax and cast using the traditional lost wax technique. Inspired by the sea slug as a symbol of transformation, regeneration, and quiet resilience, the design explores organic movement through texture, form, and carefully placed gemstone detail. Each ring is finished individually by hand, meaning no two pieces ever leave the studio in exactly the same way.

The central cabochon stone — available in either pink tourmaline or garnet — sits within the carved form as if it has naturally emerged from the surface. Surrounding it, ten cubic zirconia accents introduce points of light, creating contrast against the textured silver and enhancing the sense of movement within the design.

Concept

A study in transformation through form — where marine symbolism becomes structure and gemstone placement becomes part of the sculpture itself. The sea slug motif represents adaptation and renewal, expressed here through organic carving and asymmetric surface detail.

Each stone is integrated as part of the composition rather than applied as decoration, reinforcing the idea that the ring evolves through making rather than design repetition.

“This ring began as an exploration of symbolism — the sea slug as a creature of transformation, regeneration, and quiet resilience. I wanted the stones to feel like they had always been part of the form, not added to it. Each version is set individually by hand, and no two rings ever leave my Cornwall studio looking exactly the same.”
