An 18ct yellow gold one-of-a-kind ruby cabochon ring, hand carved in wax and cast in Tamara Gervasio’s Italian studio using the traditional lost wax technique. This is a single available piece in size P½ — set with a natural oval ruby cabochon (8 × 6 mm) and finished in bold, architectural gold designed to carry the weight and presence of the stone.

The ruby is deeply saturated, shifting between crimson and burgundy in the light, with a warm internal glow that feels alive rather than glassy. It is a stone long associated with kingship, protection, and intensity of feeling — chosen here for its natural depth rather than perfection.

The setting was developed entirely by hand in wax, allowing the form to evolve directly through carving until proportions, balance, and weight felt resolved. The band is deliberately substantial at 11.64 mm, giving the ring a grounded physical presence on the hand. At 9.1 g, it carries a tangible weight that reinforces its permanence.

Stamped 750 and marked with TG maker’s mark, it is fully certified 18ct Italian gold and part of the Ancient Relics Collection.
