Recast Erosion Signet Ring – Recycled Sterling Silver 925 Sand Cast

A sculptural statement signet ring from the Recast collection, handcrafted in recycled Sterling Silver 925 using traditional lost wax carving and sand-casting techniques in my Cornwall studio. Designed as a contemporary men’s piece, it explores transformation through process, material, and surface.

The compact 9.56 mm top features a refined textured surface with natural irregularities formed during casting. These marks are intentionally preserved, giving the ring a raw, time-worn character that reflects its making rather than concealing it.

I wanted the surface to feel like something unearthed rather than manufactured — as if it has travelled through time before arriving on the hand. Every imperfection is intentional in its acceptance, not its control. The casting process is not just a method here, but a collaborator.”
