Onyx & Sterling Silver Starfish Necklace – Last One Available – This Version Will Not Be Repeated

A handmade onyx necklace combining deep matte black stone with sterling silver 925 starfish elements, individually assembled in my Cornwall studio using traditional jewellery techniques. This is the final onyx version available — the specific silver starfish components used in this design are no longer obtainable, meaning this exact composition will never be recreated.

The necklace is hand-knotted on black silk thread using traditional knotting methods that allow the 9.8 mm onyx beads to move with fluidity while preserving structure and creating a soft, considered drape. Between the beads, sterling silver starfish elements are placed like small coastal artefacts, introducing moments of light and texture against the depth of the stone.

The contrast is intentional and restrained — matte black onyx absorbing light, polished silver reflecting it. Onyx has long been associated with strength, grounding, and clarity, making it a stone chosen not only for its appearance but for its quiet symbolic weight.
