A private, one-to-one jewellery-making experience held in my Cornwall studio, dedicated entirely to the traditional craft of lost wax carving.

Guided personally by jewellery designer Tamara Gervasio, this workshop is tailored to your pace, your ideas, and your experience level — whether you are a complete beginner or developing your existing skills.

This is a focused, hands-on making experience where you will work directly in jeweller’s wax using professional tools and traditional techniques used in fine jewellery making.

This is a creative fabrication session, not a design course.

What You Will Do

You will explore the fundamentals of lost wax carving by creating your own ring, pendant, or sculptural form in wax.

Throughout the session, you will be guided step by step to develop your piece, learning how shape, detail, and surface texture in wax are transformed into precious metal through the casting process.

By the end of the workshop, you will have completed a finished wax model ready for casting.

Workshop Details

A focused, creative workshop introducing the core principles of lost wax carving through hands-on making and guided studio practice.

This is a dedicated 3-hour session designed to give you a complete introduction to the process while allowing time to create a finished wax piece.

Any additional time beyond the 3 hours may be extended by mutual agreement and will be charged on the day.

Studio Information / Safety

This session takes place in a professional jewellery studio and involves the use of fine carving tools.

For your comfort and safety, please:

• Wear comfortable clothing suitable for studio work
• Tie back long hair
• Avoid loose sleeves or jewellery that may interfere with tools

Casting & Finishing

Your wax piece can be professionally cast in sterling silver, gold, or brass after the workshop.

Casting and metal costs are calculated separately depending on material choice.

Optional finishing services such as de-spruing, polishing, and final detailing are available if required.

Finished pieces are typically completed and returned within approximately 3 weeks.
