Enamelling Workshop – Torch Fired Jewellery
A private, one-to-one jewellery-making session held in my Cornwall studio, dedicated to the traditional craft of torch-fired enamelling on metal.
Guided personally by jewellery designer Tamara Gervasio, this experience is designed around a pre-cut brass form, allowing you to focus entirely on colour, surface, and enamel application rather than fabrication.
This is a focused, hands-on workshop where you will apply vitreous enamel to metal using a gas torch firing technique, creating a finished charm or small jewellery piece.
This is a creative surface and finishing session, not a design or metal fabrication course.
What You Will Do
You will work directly on a pre-prepared brass charm shape, exploring the application of enamel and controlled torch firing to build colour, texture, and surface variation.
You will complete your piece through guided making, learning how enamel reacts to heat and how colour develops during the firing process.
Your finished piece will be a unique enamelled charm created by your own hand.
Skills You Will Learn

- applying powdered vitreous enamel
- torch firing techniques and heat control

A focused 3-hour private session, allowing sufficient time to prepare, apply enamel layers, fire multiple stages using a gas torch, and complete at least one finished enamelled charm, with potential for a second simple piece depending on drying and firing cycles.
