La Bocca della Verità Pendant Necklace – Handmade Sterling Silver 925 – Mouth of Truth

A sculptural sterling silver pendant necklace hand carved in wax and cast using the traditional lost wax technique. Inspired by La Bocca della Verità (the Mouth of Truth) in Rome, the design reinterprets the iconic ancient stone face as a wearable talisman. The pendant captures deep-set eyes, an open mouth, and heavily textured surfaces, echoing the weathered character of the original monument while translating it into a refined sculptural form.

The piece is suspended on a fine trace chain, designed to sit naturally at the collarbone as either a statement pendant or layered element.

“La Bocca della Verità has been part of my life since childhood — I grew up in Rome, and that ancient face was always there, watching. The legend that it would bite the hand of anyone who lied felt very real to me as a child. I wanted to bring that feeling into silver. Something you could wear as a talisman. A reminder to live honestly.”
